JewelBase is a project that was initially funded by Innovate UK,  created in response to the affects that Covid-19 has had on the jewellery industry in the UK.

JewelBase is run by Camden Enterprise Ltd (Centa), a not for profit social enterprise, driven by our mission rather than a profit motive with a strong emphasis on supporting those groups most identified as needing the greatest support. Centa has a long-standing relationship with the jewellery trade in Hatton Garden, and is very invested in preserving the skills and businesses in the area, mainly through our initiative, The Garden Club.

JewelBase is managed by jewellery specialist consultant, Sally Leonard, who has been working as a business consultant for over 15 years, supporting and mentoring jewellery businesses of all ages, and as a member of various groups representing and supporting the local trade in Hatton Garden. 

She has collaborated with a number of organisations including London College of Fashion, Centa Business Services and in September 2018 she became the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s  Business Development Tutor for the Setting Out programme, through her consultancy business, Pendeloque Consulting.

Sally also currently sits on the board of the Hatton Garden BID, and has made the Professional Jeweller Power List 2021.
